Vic: Conditions on Victoria's ski fields today
MELBOURNE, Aug 14 AAP - Conditions on Victoria's ski fields today:
FALLS CREEK - Lifts: 15/15. Very good skiing and boarding on an excellent cover of
firm packed snow. Overnight temp: -3 deg. Road: Open and clear. Snow depth: 214cm.
MT HOTHAM - Lifts: 13/13. Very good skiing and boarding on an excellent cover of firm
packed snow. Overnight temp: -3.1 deg. Road: Open, fitting chains to two-wheel drives.
Lift operations may change due to weather conditions. Snow depth: 227cm.
MT BULLER - Lifts: 25/25. Very good skiing and boarding on an excellent cover of firm
packed snow. Overnight temp: -3.1 deg. Road: Open and clear. Snow depth: 171cm.
LAKE MOUNTAIN - Excellent cross country skiing on an an excellent cover of softening
snow. Chains to be carried today. Overnight temp: 0.8 deg. Road: Open and clear. Snow
depth: 55cm.
MT BAW BAW - Lifts: 7/7. Good to very good skiing and boarding on a very good cover
of soft snow. Overnight temp: -1.8 deg. Road: Open and clear. Snow depth: 61cm.
MT BUFFALO - Lifts: 4/4. Very good skiing and boarding on an excellent cover of firm
snow softening later. New toboggan run now open. Overnight temp: 0.5 deg. Road: Open and
clear. Snow depth: 95cm.
DINNER PLAIN - Lifts: 1/1. Very good downhill skiing on an excellent cover of packed
snow. Excellent cross country trails groomed around Dinner Plain. Road: Open, fitting
chains to two-wheel drives. Snow depth: 105cm.
MT STIRLING - Very good to excellent skiing on an excellent cover of fresh snow. Road:
Open and clear. Snow depth: 102cm.
MT ST GWINEAR - Very good cross country skiing on a good to very good cover of softening
firm snow on all trails. Snow depth: 50cm. Road: Open and clear.
MT DONNA BUANG - Currently snowing, sightseeing only. Road: Open. Snow depth: 1cm.
